Your Child's First Dental Visit
Whether your child is finally able to sit still enough or your baby's first tooth has come in, going to the dentist as a child can be an intimidating thing. Before arriving at our office, it is best to help prepare your child for what it will be like in the exam room. Whether watching online videos or telling them about your first trip to the dentist, helping them calm their anxiety can be a big step in ensuring a successful dental visit. Please be sure to have the necessary forms completed or arrive 15 minutes early to complete them. There will be questions such as existing teeth issues and health history that your child has experienced. Your child's exam should take about 30 minutes to complete, from the cleaning to the x-rays (if necessary). With our years of experience in family dentistry, our team is excellent in helping young patients acclimate to the exam and helping them feel comfortable with a staff member performing the dental exam.
